 The purpose of this site is to provide landowners with information about the operation of SCRO and activities in Sangre de Cristo Ranches, as well as providing you with a method to contact us easily. WHAT'S NEW: updated 08/04/2008

•    The annual meeting was held on Saturday, August 4th.  The new board (5 returning and 2 new) are listed under the "About SCRO" tab.  A short discussion was held to alert folks that one member has lost 3 dogs to a mountain lion, and that the bears are out and about.  Exercise caution.

•   The latest issue of the Piñon is out and is reproduced here.  Enjoy.

•    The Forbes organization has sold Trinchera Ranch.  Read the details in the winter Piñon.

•    Under the "Local Resources" tab there are many more ads from commercial businesses including land surveying, solar and wind contractors, and general construction folks.

•   We have added the Sheriff's phone number to the "Local Resources" tab for any of you who wish to report petty theft or vandalism. Our new sheriff is Gilbert Martinez.

•    Please take a minute to give us your email address when you send in your dues for 2008.  To clarify, the dues are for a calendar year, that is, from January 1 to December 31. Makes it easy to remember.

•    Many members have contacted us recently regarding calls or letters they have received offering to sell or buy their property.  These appear to be suspicious.  One typical offer is to sell at what seems to be a very high price, BUT, they want "up front" money to cover "expenses".  Another offer is to "take the property off your hands" at a ridiculously low price.  We strongly recommend that you contact a local, licensed real estate person for advice.  They are most knowledgeable about the current market conditions.
